American  Canine  Registry

Awards and Titles

PREFIX TITLES AWARDED BY 'ACR' ARE SHOWN IN RED ON ANIMALS
PEDIGREE PRIOR TO THEIR NAME.   PREFIX TITLES ARE AWARDS THAT
THE DOG HAS WON or ACHIEVED ON IT'S OWN MERIT THROUGH 'ACR' or ACR approved show results.

We would like to stress that titles achieved through ACR are not 'give me' titles.  When you see an ACR title on registration papers then you can be assured that a lot of time, dedication and financial committment went into that animal from a dedicated owner and that the dog deserved the title that it has achieved.

ACR does not believe in "Beauty Contest" as so many other registries use as a basis for their showing basis.  We believe in judging dogs based on their own merits and feel that the only way to do that and to allow only QUALITY dogs to achieve these titles is through each dog being judged individually.

Awards & Titles awarded by other registeries are usually acknowledged and documented and usually shown in black.  To receive a red line classification documentation may be submitted that meets ACR criteria for ACR title advancement.  This includes Score Cards or Show Results that we use to calculate a point basis from on a point scale that we have formed.

American Canine Registry is not responsible for the inaccuracy of pedigrees.  ACR's best effort has been put forth so

that they may be accurate as according to our records.  Our records are based on information that is supplied to us by pet owners, breeders
